We just returned from a great Florida Keys Challenge trip with a fantastic group of paddlers! We would like to thank everyone who made this trip possible!  Our speakers shared their knowledge about the issues facing the Keys. Special thanks to Bill and Mary Burnham (Burnham Guides) who wrote "The Florida Keys Atlas" and joined us for the week.  We are truly thankful for them sharing their experience and knowledge with our paddlers!

More than two decades into it, there are signs of progress. Wildlife is returning to some areas, regions dominated by the invasive melaleuca tree have dropped 75%, and enthusiasm is high as significant projects are finally underway, others gain momentum and funding pours in. But there are also worries: the projects are billions of dollars over budget and questions remain about whether some will work.
